- A short personal introduction, where they say who they are, what they like, and why they are messaging you.
- A novel, where they tell you their whole life story (the good, the bad, and EVEN the ugly)
- A statement about your looks, or
- A completely random one liner in hopes to grab your attention

So what method is best? What do you guys think?
I personally prefer a short personal introduction over the rest.... but still many people use the other three introductions so they must work to a certain extent.
To the right is a poll with some examples of the one liners I have received. I have excluded the inappropriate ones for the sake of keeping this blog clean. Please choose the one you like the best. They all gave me a little chuckle.
Also I'd love to hear other people's experiences with this, so please leave a comment!

I think pick up lines are fun. They are ice breakers. But don't take them to seriously. If they are funny I may talk to the person but if they are rude or sexually suggestive I won't respond
ReplyDeleteYa pick up lines definitely catch your attention and can be quite entertaining! But, sometimes I feel like they just copy and paste the same message to everyone... and that's just lazy. ;)
ReplyDeleteI also think pick up lines can be fun, even though I don't often use them. I find it funny that I read profiles that say "don't message me with hey cutie or hey sup". Then I check my inbox and that's exactly what they messaged me. In those circumstances, I'm thinking "at least put in some effort and use a corny pick up line"
