By "good girl", I just mean someone who has or is working towards a post-secondary education, isn't a crazy/stalker, family oriented, has a good sense of humour and is a genuinely nice person. You wouldn't think that in the 21st century with the ability to connect and interact with millions of females, that it would be that difficult to find one. However, over the past few weeks, I haven't even seen one that I've had conversations with. For example I was chatting with this girl from Toronto recently and over the course of our conversation she became increasingly aggressive. She told me her cell phone number and wanted me to send her my number, and I declined until I knew her better. She ended up going on a rant that included her saying and I quote "Do you know who the **** I am and how much money my daddy makes". Needless to say that was the end of our conversation, as at that point I couldn't careless who she was or how much money her dad makes.
I'm left wondering where are all the "good girls" at? or are the majority of females online like this girl from T.O? Maybe my expectations are too high?

I've been curious about your little experiment since running into you a few weeks ago Josh, so now I'm creeping your blog. haha.
ReplyDeleteBut my two cents: All the good girls out there are wondering where all the good guys are. I gave up on the online thing 6 months ago after getting a million messages from guys who can't spell their own names. But I do hear many success stories from friends, so I guess the key is patience with a sprinkle of luck? Maybe your future experiences will clue us in. Good Luck!
Well thanks for the creeping and the comment Becky! I also have heard many stories of successful relationships starting with online dating. So hopefully with patience and that "sprinkle of luck" you speak of, I'll be one of those lucky people. :)
